There are many ways to explore Bardia National Park that help you to see different wild lives of the area including Royal Bengal Tiger, One Horn Rhinoceros, Wild Asian Elephants, Gharial Crocodile, huge Burmese python and many more. Bardia Tiger Resort offers some special activities like proper tiger sighting, catfish (goonch), golden mahaseer fishing and camping inside National Parks. You can have the following activities in Bardia National park with the help of Bardia Tiger Resort.

JUNGLE SAFARI

Half or full day walks from the lodge into the park. You’ll do a lot of walking and hopefully some tiger tracking, but have regular breaks at watch towers and areas the guides know are good for spotting larger animals.

SPECIAL TIGER SAFARI

Royal Bengal Tiger is a major attraction of Bardia National Park. At least 2 to 3 days are necessary for Special Tiger Safari. We will bring you to the major spots like Tinkune, Balcony, Hatti machan spot to watch Tiger. During the warm season (March, April, May) there is 95% sure to see Tiger. However, as the Tiger population in Bardai has increased, if you have 3-4 days to spend, you can even see Tiger in year around.

JEEP SAFARI

Jeep Safari is another major way to explore Bardia National Park. Jeeps can cover most of the forest area where you can see different wild animals in different locations. Even nowadays, there are Tiger sightings along the road walking and crossing ahead of the jeep.

BIRD WATCHING

If you are a Bird watching love, then Bardia National Park could be good choice including other wild lives. There are a couple of ponds and a river side where you can see local and migratory birds. Either morning or evening time considered as best time to go for bird watching in the Park.

ELEPHANT BREEDING CENTER

The place called Hattisar about a 30 minute walk from the resort is another activity you can do at Bardia National Park. You can see domestic Asian Wild Elephants along with their calves in Hattisar.

CROCODILE BREEDING CENTER

At the entrance gate of the Park, there are breeding centers of different animals along with Gharial Crocodile (Critical Endanger species), Mugger, Tortoise. This is also a rehabilitation center for injured wild animals. Sometimes you can see Tiger, Leopard at the rehab during the process of medications.

GOONCH/ GOLDEN MAHASHEER FISHING AND RELEASE

Bardia National Park is popular for Golden Mahasheer and Goonch (catfish) Fishing. You can get huge catfish in Karnali River and Golden Mahasheer in Babai River. This is only for catch and release. Jeremy Wade from River monster visited Bardia National Park a couple of times.

CAMPING INSIDE NATIONAL PARKS

Bardia National Park offers ample opportunity to have camp inside National Park, you can choose to go in the Babai River area or the Karnali Belt area where you will get around wild lives and can hear different sounds of the animals during night time. We ensure that this is a safe adventure to do in the park.

THARU VILLAGE TOUR

Another activity you can add to your visit beside wild lives is the Tharu Village Tour where you will meet interesting people and kids during your tour. Also on the last day of your visit, we will invite local Tharu people to show their typical cultural dance where they will perform different animals dance as well.

RIVER DOLPHIN SIGHTING

The Ganges river dolphin is found in the Karnali River Belt which is considered as an endangered species. During monsoon, it’s a good time to go for Dolphin sightings in the Kailali area where at least a day is necessary for the activities.

RAFTING IN KARNALI AND BABAI RIVER

Rafting is another major activity in National Park. You can do a day rafting in Karnali River belt and do multiple day rafting and camp inside in Babai River belt where you can see different fishes, crocodile and elephants and other wild animals.
